About

Over the last 20 years, I've helped clean tech companies grow, enter new markets, and build new products, specifically in solar and EV charging. Companies bring me in at a specific point: when they have a small but growing revenue stream and need to figure out the next product or the next path to market.

At Planted Solar, that's meant rebuilding the commercial organization and operating engine, including how the company forecasts, quotes, and contracts; expanding a vertical that was becoming the company's largest pipeline driver; and standing up an international market in Australia with no prior footprint.

Before that, at Shoals Technologies, I led strategy and sales for the company's New Markets Group, spanning data centers, battery storage, community and commercial solar, e-mobility, and OEM, building a new storage business line essentially from zero.

At ABB E-mobility, I led a shift from an almost entirely direct sales model to a majority-channel model, building the partner network and support infrastructure that made the transition work without losing momentum. I later ran U.S. sales leadership for the business, overseeing rapid growth from a small commercial team to a group of more than 20, among the best sales organizations in the market.

Earlier roles at SolarWorld, AeroVironment, and REC Solar, plus residential and distribution work before that, are where I learned the fundamentals this all sits on: direct sales, distribution, and the residential/C&I solar market before storage and e-mobility existed as categories in the way they do now. SolarWorld put me at the front end of large-scale module manufacturing and growth in the U.S. market.

Grass Root Energy Consulting is where I take that pattern-recognition, what it actually takes to open a channel, a market, or a vertical, not the version that reads well in a strategy deck, and put it to work for companies who need to do it faster than they could figure it out alone.

The specific numbers behind each of these: pipeline figures, deal sizes, named accounts, are in the portfolio.
